The East Side Gallery is the only stretch of the Berlin Wall still standing and the largest open air gallery in the world. The 1.3km-long section is decorated with 106 paintings by artists from all over the world.

Sachsenhausen was a german concentration camp 35km from Berlin operating between 1936 and April 1945. There were roughly 30,000 wartime victims at Sachsenhausen, most of whom were Russian prisoners of war. Only 3000 remaining inmates were alive when the camp was liberated by allied forces. The camp is now open to the public and contains many restored buildings and museums.
